    Chief Executive Officer

    Rebecca Flavin is CEO at EffectiveUI, where she is responsible for the company’s overall vision, user experience innovation, core values and strategic direction for growth and financial health. She oversees developing high-performance teams that can help drive top line revenue and high profitability, while achieving client and employee satisfaction. In addition to building and strengthening brand awareness and position in the marketplace, she is responsible for communicating the importance of exceptional user experiences in driving business value.

    Prior to joining EffectiveUI in 2006, Rebecca held several key management roles with well-known interactive agencies that included serving as president of eCRM Concepts, vice president of client services for Return Path, director of channel relations at Merkle and director of client services for MessageMedia/DoubleClick. In these executive roles, she led high- performance account management teams, in addition to developing and executing a variety of online customer acquisition, loyalty and retention programs across multiple marketing and interactive media channels for clients such as MBNA, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, TIAA-CREF, Intuit and Cisco Systems.

    Rebecca was named one of the Top 10 Female CEOs by Inc. magazine in 2009. She is a board member for the Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA), and is involved in Forrester’s Technology Marketing Executive Council, CSIA, AMA, IxDA, RIA and Emergency Technology Group. Rebecca holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from California State University, Chico.

  • Anthony Franco

    President and Founder

    Anthony Franco is best known for founding the Denver-based firm, EffectiveUI in 2005 with the core belief that technology lives up to its promise to humanity only when it is well-designed. EffectiveUI is known as the leader in its space for its commitment to service, quality and thought leadership, and was acquired by WPP, the world’s largest communications services company, in 2012.

    In his role as president, Anthony’s responsibilities include building business relationships, identifying new market solutions for clients, communicating the value and importance of user experience-driven business strategies, and managing the company’s leadership team. Anthony has managed the creation of hundreds of award-winning digital products for many of the world’s most recognizable brands.

    With an eclectic background, he has served as both creative director and technical architect for nine successful start-ups, holds two patents and has started five of his own successful companies. He has worked in feature-post production for Warner Bros., as well as managed lithography production for large advertising campaigns.

    A thought-leader in the UX field, Anthony has spoken at numerous industry events held by Microsoft, O’Reilly Media, Adobe, SysCon and Forrester Research. He has also written and contributed to several industry white papers, research reports articles and books, including, “Effective UI: The Art of Building Great User Experience in Software,” published by O’Reilly Media, on the process for creating great software. He is also the author of Anthony’s Blog, which details his thoughts on technology trends.

  • Daisy Weborg

    Chief Operating Officer

    As EffectiveUI’s chief operating officer, Daisy Weborg is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, product development and finances. In addition to providing financial guidance and support to maximize company profitability, Daisy’s extensive background in project management, quality assurance and strategic ROI-driven technology initiatives has been instrumental to EffectiveUI’s growth, process efficiency and viability. She also provides oversight of EffectiveUI’s human resources and administrative teams.

    Daisy joined EffectiveUI in 2006 and currently serves as a member of the executive leadership team that drives the company’s overall direction, core values and business strategy.

    Prior to joining EffectiveUI, Daisy has held numerous high-level executive positions within the technology industry. Most recently, she was the sole proprietor and president of Next Steps, LLC, a computer software consultancy specializing in product development for online marketing channels. Additionally, she served as the director of technology solutions for Merkle where provided oversight and direction of the company’s design, development, operations, information technology and technical project management teams.

    Earlier on in her career, Daisy served as a contractor for Qwest Communications where she specialized in certification project management and was responsible for application readiness and testing processes, application analysis and project planning. Additionally, she served as quality assurance manager for Rhythms Netconnections, a company specializing in providing local broadband access communication services to large enterprise companies.

    Professional affiliations include: Project Management Institutions (PMI).

    An active member of her community, Daisy is passionately committed to volunteer efforts that help promote education, child welfare and animal adoption. She is an active member of The University of Denver’s Board of International Education that supports the university’s international studies graduate program. Additionally, she is a member of the March of Dimes Board of Volunteers and lends her time in support of animal adoption efforts through the Table Mountain Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado.

    Daisy holds a master’s degree in technology management from the University of Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Montana.

  • Ken Guiberson

    Chief Technology Officer

    Ken Guiberson serves as the chief technology officer at EffectiveUI, and is responsible for the company’s overall technology vision. The technology services that Ken manages, along with EffectiveUI’s customer insight and design teams, deliver award-winning creative and humanizing software to Fortune 500 clients. Ken also plays an essential role in working with EffectiveUI clients’ corporate technology executives on their digital experience strategies.

    Ken joined EffectiveUI in 2006 and was general manager in the company’s Rochester, New York office. He led the technology efforts for a number of clients, including Adobe, NBC and United Airlines, all who have benefited from his UX and technology leadership to improve their customer experiences. What drives Ken is his passion for building interfaces that allow human beings to naturally interact with complex systems.

    Prior to EffectiveUI, Ken was a software engineer at Kodak where he managed the user interface development of the world’s first Flash-based, Wi-Fi-enabled digital camera. Before Kodak, he served four years in the United States Army as a nuclear medical science officer.

    Ken has a master’s degree in information technology from Rochester Institute of Technology, and Bachelor of Science degrees in mechanical engineering from Columbia University and in physics from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

  • Peyton Lindley

    Executive Director, Experience Design and Customer Insight

    As executive director of experience design and customer insight for EffectiveUI, Peyton Lindley is responsible for providing leadership to the company’s user-centered design and research teams. With a strong background in interface design and design management, Peyton extends the user-centered design approach across all departments within EffectiveUI.

    During his career, Peyton has contributed his design talents to numerous projects for well-known clients such as Pentax, Fidelity, Midas, Horizon Organic, Spyder, Disney, the Denver Art Museum and IZZE. In 2007, Peyton was awarded a Web Marketing Association’s WebAward for his work on IZZE Esque. The next year, he received two People’s Choice Webby Awards for his work with Pentax and King Tut.

    Peyton has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for the University of Denver’s Digital Media Studies Program as well as the University of Colorado’s Boulder Digital Works program. He currently serves as the education liaison for the Society of Digital Agencies.

    Peyton earned his master’s degree in digital media studies from the University of Denver in Colorado.
