User Experience Designer (Contract & Contract to Hire) | Denver, CO

We are looking for a mid- or senior-level user experience designer/interaction designer with strong interests and capabilities in the rapid development of rich Internet applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. A thorough understanding of user-centered design is a must.

A qualified candidate will demonstrate expertise in both:

• Interaction design and usability (wireframing)
• Visual design of Web sites and applications

Required Experience and Skills

• 2 or more years of visual design experience, skinning and theming various types of software
• 2 or more years of interaction design experience, defining workflows and information architecture for software
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator; ability to use Fireworks and InDesign
• Good knowledge of and experience with user interface design patterns, visual design elements, Web technologies and development methodologies
• Basic project management skills to track all project work.

• Working with the team to brainstorm and innovate
• Designing workflow diagrams and interaction wireframes
• Designing visual comps of Web sites and applications
• Working with developers to maintain design consistency
