EffectiveUI Wins Top Industry Awards for Elevating the User Experience

Nielsen Norman Group Selects Client CenturyLink Business for 2012 Intranet Design Award

Since January of 2012, EffectiveUI, Inc., a leading user experience (UX) agency, was honored with nine industry awards for its user experience work with clients, including CenturyLink Business, Pearson, University College at the University of Denver and U.S. Navy Blue Angels. These latest awards now bring a total of more than 115 awards that EffectiveUI has received over the years for the company and its clients.

Nielsen Norman Group 2012 Intranet Design Awards
Nielsen Norman Group (NNG) is a consulting and research firm, specializing in user experience and usability. NNG presented EffectiveUI client CenturyLink Business with a 2012 Intranet Design Award, honoring it as one of the 10 best intranet sites. The firm’s annual publication gives readers the unique opportunity to see great intranet designs that are usually hidden behind a firewall.

Webby Awards
EffectiveUI’s work on the U.S. Navy Blue Angels website was recognized as an Official Honoree by the Webby Awards. Of the 10,000 entries submitted to the 16th Annual Webby Awards committee, fewer than 15 percent were distinguished as an Official Honoree, signifying an outstanding caliber of work.

Communicator Awards
The Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program recognizing big ideas in marketing and communications, presented EffectiveUI with five awards for its user experience work across verticals and disciplines, including design and development for U.S. Navy Blue Angels website (Gold: Government and Video or Motion Graphics) and Pearson mobile application (Silver: Mobile Apps – Education). The company was also honored for its in-house promotion kit (Silver: Marketing/Promotion – Marketing Kit) and customer insight contribution to the University College at the University of Denver website (Silver: Website – School/University).

Web Marketing Association’s Internet Advertising Competition
The Internet Advertising Competition (IAC) Awards are produced by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in online advertising, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the best in award-winning Internet advertising. EffectiveUI customer insight client University College at the University of Denver was named Best University Website.

Interactive Media Awards
The Interactive Media Awards recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. EffectiveUI was honored with an Outstanding Achievement Award in the military category for U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA) Board Appointment
Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA) is an international association of respected digital marketing agency leaders and entrepreneurs with a history and a vision for the future of marketing. EffectiveUI CEO, Rebecca Flavin, was honored by being named the first woman executive to the board of SoDA.
