EffectiveUI Honored with 15 Prestigious Awards and Two Top Rankings in 2010

Since June EffectiveUI has been recognized by Inc., Oracle, Adobe, the International Academy of the Visual Arts and ColoradoBiz for their accomplishments

Capping off a year of award-winning work, EffectiveUI today announced that in the second half of 2010 they garnered five additional industry awards from Oracle, Adobe, the International Academy of the Visual Arts and the Summit International Awards, as well as rankings on the Inc. 500 and ColoradoBiz Best Companies to Work For in Colorado 2010 lists.

This brings the total to 17 prestigious awards and rankings in 2010 honoring EffectiveUI for their groundbreaking work and employee-friendly workplace.

Six Industry Awards Since June
Six Industry Awards Since June Presented by Oracle at JavaOne in September, Duke’s Choice Awards are granted to the most innovative projects using the Java platform. EffectiveUI won the Innovative User Experience category for its development on the Vancouver2010.com project.

The Complete National Geographic,” a desktop application that captures 121 years of the iconic magazine’s content, published by the National Geographic Society and designed and developed by EffectiveUI, won the 2010 Adobe MAX Award for Digital Publishing at Adobe MAX 2010 in Los Angeles.

The Adobe MAX Awards is a global awards program that recognizes the best uses of Adobe software for creating expressive applications that enable people to engage with ideas and information anytime, anywhere and on any device. The Digital Publishing category showcases the best of book and magazine design for non-paper media.

The W³ Awards recognized EffectiveUI in the Mobile Application – Finance category with a silver award for its work with Navy Federal Credit Union. In addition, the W³ Awards acknowledged EffectiveUI with a silver award in the Telecommunications Website category for the Qwest Small Business Website.

The W³ Awards honors creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning sites, videos and marketing programs. The W³ Awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising and marketing firms. IAVA members include executives from organizations such as Condé Nast, Coach, Disney, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Estée Lauder, Fry Hammond Barr, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, Yahoo! and many others.

Also sanctioned and judged by the IAVA, the annual International Davey Awards honors the achievements of the “Creative Davids” who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets. EffectiveUI was given a silver award for its design and development work with “The Complete National Geographic.”

EffectiveUI’s 2010 Winter Olympics JavaFX Medal Geo-View work with Oracle and Sun won an Innovator Award in the Leisure and Entertainment website category in The Summit International Awards Emerging Media Award (EMA) competition.

The Summit EMA recognizes contributions and leaders who are establishing tomorrow’s avenues of advertising communications. The judges have created three levels of recognition: visionary, innovator and leader. The Summit EMA’s competition included approximately 900 entries from numerous countries for which only 12 percent earned recognition.

Business Magazines Rank EffectiveUI Highly
For the second consecutive year, EffectiveUI was recognized by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in its 29th annual Inc. 500 list in September. With 694 percent, three-year sales growth, EffectiveUI ranked No. 431 on Inc. magazine’s 2010 list. In addition to its overall ranking, the company ranked No. 31 in the software industry and No. 8 in the Denver area. This summer EffectiveUI was ranked number 9 in the small business category of the 2010 Best Companies to Work For in Colorado from ColoradoBiz magazine and the Colorado Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council.
