Jim Johnson
Vice President of Solution Architecture
Jim Johnson brings more than 17 years of management experience to his role as EffectiveUI’s vice president of solution architecture, where he’s responsible for identifying and developing product roadmaps and strategy for key accounts, helping clients understand and leverage the full range of EffectiveUI services. Jim oversees the project management teams, and works closely with the company’s delivery teams to develop strategies around new service and enterprise solutions.
Jim, who joined EffectiveUI in 2008 as a strategic account director, served the company most recently as vice president of business development. He has worked with such high-profile clients as Premiere Global Services, Intuit, Disney and Qwest Communications, and was instrumental in coordinating a partnership with Qwest to redesign its business customer portal, a site produced by incorporating the user experience tools and priorities on which EffectiveUI thrives.
Jim’s extensive business background dates back to 1992, when he managed a sales team and provided technical sales solutions to DirecTV clients as a senior account manager. He continued his career in management and development roles in interactive multimedia development and was integral to boosting revenues for companies such as Capella Education Company, Intellinex (now Xerox) and Local Matters. In his 17 years in business and technology leadership, Jim has helped companies attain top line revenue of as much as $80 million a year and managed as many as 30 employees.
His professional affiliations include The Kelsey Group, a New Jersey-based firm offering research, analysis and data to those working in the media marketplace. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications from Michigan State University.
